Hatzel & Buehler Electrician wins IDEAL National Championship

Hatzel & Buehler’s Jordan Frinfrock – a Local Union 575 Electrician – won first place and a national championship as an apprentice Electrician at the 2019 IDEAL National Championship.  The IDEAL National Championship is a competition where the most elite tradesmen in the nation come together to showcase their Electrical skills.  The competition began with 57,000 participants, which was narrowed to 84 in the final round, with Jordan winning the competition among his fellow apprentice Electricians.  In addition to his first place individual win, Jordan and his co-worker, Justin Donley – an apprentice from LU 575 – won 4th place in the Apprentice team portion of the competition.

End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run October 2019

On Saturday, October 5th, employees and their families, from both Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications, participated in the End Childhood Cancer Walk/Run (formerly known as The Lemon Run).  The race raises funds and awareness for childhood cancer and is the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s largest special event with nearly 3,000 people attending.  In addition to employee participation, Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications actively participated in event fundraising.  The Foundation and its heroic efforts towards fighting childhood cancer are hugely important to our organization.

New Jersey Office receives the Governor’s “Award of Merit”

To further support their customers in Southern New Jersey, Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications made the strategic decision to open an office in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.  The new office will focus on the commercial, healthcare, higher education and industrial sectors.  The Mt. Laurel office proudly maintains relationships with Rowan University, Jefferson Health Systems, Virtua Health, Inspira Health, Carekinesis and Agro Merchants.

Hatzel & Buehler has an existing office in Hamilton, New Jersey, which supports the northern New Jersey market.

Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications’ employees proudly participate in 13th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Telethon

On June 13th, employees from Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications participated in the 13th Annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Telethon, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Employees answered phones, processed donations and helped support other Telethon functions. The 14-hour on-air benefit, for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, raised nearly $7,000,000 for pediatric cancer research. Over its 13 years on-air, the event has raised over $36,000,000 for the cause.

Employees from Hatzel & Buehler’s New Jersey Office proudly partnered with IBEW Local Union 102 and Habitat for Humanity, to help finish a newly constructed home in Dover, New Jersey.  “Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization helping people in the community and around the world, build or improve a place they can call home”.  With local operations in every state throughout the country, Habitat for Humanity “builds dreams, one house at a time”.

Hatzel & Buehler employee recognized by National Safety Council for Safety bravery

Kyle Wittkop, a Hatzel & Buehler employee and former firefighter, was recognized by the National Safety Council for his quick actions and bravery, as he administered life-saving CPR on a person who was choking.

Hatzel & Buehler completes electrical work for Philadelphia Broadcasting Company

Hatzel & Buehler began work on the 62,000 square foot full floor renovation at the new Aramark tower for the broadcasting company, Entercom.  The space consists of a mix of broadcast studios, individual offices, open office work areas, a café, and numerous conference/multipurpose rooms. Hatzel & Buehler’s scope of work includes all new switchgear, branch power and lighting, a Lutron lighting control system and theatrical lighting control system, fire alarm, basket tray, two 150kw UPS systems, and a 1000kW generator with two Automatic Transfer Switches.

Philadelphia Office performs electrical work for University of Arts Music School

Hatzel & Buehler will be retrofitting a 15,000 square foot floor, within the University of Arts Music School.  Overall scope of work includes the complete Demolition and re-build of Director’s Offices, Open Collaboration Spaces, Ensemble Studios, Rehearsal Studios, Production Suites, Circuitry Lab, Mixing/Mastering Classroom and Instructional Labs. The majority of these rooms will be constructed to maintain complete soundproofing of individual rooms. Each room will receive customized lighting and lighting controls to accommodate the specific usage of that room.  Hatzel & Buehler’s additional scope of work includes new panels and transformers, fire alarm, and an extensive Low Voltage and Audio Visual back-bone.
