ChristianaCare has recently opened its new 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art micro-hospital, located in West Grove, Pennsylvania. This facility is the first of three ChristianaCare micro-hospital formats in the Philadelphia region, offering 24/7 emergency and inpatient care services. This is ChristianaCare’s first local hospital in 188 years, bringing care to the southern Chester County neighborhood.
Hatzel & Buehler’s Delaware Branch Office has completed the work for this project, with an overall scope of work that included installation of all new:
- Electrical Infrastructure from the existing 34KV Utility Pad Mount Transformer
- 480/277V Emergency Distribution System for equipment and lighting
- 120/208V Emergency Distribution System for power to convenience receptacles, lighting, and equipment
- Generator Docking Stations
- Interior Lighting Systems and Lighting Controls
- Site Exterior Lighting and Lighting Controls
- Building a security system that includes Card Access Control and a Video Surveillance System
- Nurse Call System for patient areas and Nurses Stations to notify staff of patient needs
- Code Blue Security System for Panic Alarm and Staff Distress calls
- Fire Alarm System
- CT Room equipment and infrastructure
- X-Ray room equipment and infrastructure
- Provided BIM Modeling and Project Coordination
