Hatzel & Buehler expands operations to include office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Celebrating 130 years in business, Hatzel & Buehler, Inc., a third generation, family owned business, sets the standard for excellence in electrical construction by leading the industry in safety initiatives, technological advances and well-established customer relationships. With nine operating branch offices throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia, Hatzel & Buehler recently expanded their reach to include a tenth office, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. New to the marketplace, Hatzel & Buehler acquired the assets of Franklin Electric – a third generation, family owned Electrical Contracting Company with over 100 years of well-established business throughout Pittsburgh. Hatzel & Buehler will retain Franklin Electric’s staff and have hired Pittsburgh native, James (Jim) Gloekler, to serve as Vice President, Branch Manager, overseeing the local Hatzel & Buehler operations. In 1992, Jim purchased Star Electric Company, becoming the third generation President and Owner of a business started by his grandfather, in 1914. Jim remained at Star Electric through 2013. Leveraging his 30 years of industry experience, Jim will establish the Hatzel & Buehler presence throughout Pittsburgh, while maintaining the customer focused approach, for which Hatzel & Buehler is known. Fred Sargent, another native Pittsburgher and successful member of the Electrical Contracting industry, has also joined the local Hatzel & Buehler team as a well-known industry consultant. Fred worked as a third-generation member of Sargent Electric Company, where he remained for 36 years, before he began his consulting business.
