A major Italian coffee company, Lavazza, was founded in 1895 with a commitment to quality and sustainability for its coffee. The company has recently installed a new electrical service to support an additional roaster for the Lavazza manufacturing process.
Hatzel & Buehler’s scope of work included the installation of a new, custom 3000-amp 34KV service, with 2 34KV-480v 2500 KVA pad mount transformers that were installed, replacing one existing transformer – the installation of a new 3000-amp 480v MDP, and provided alternate vendors to meet the new roaster install requiring the increase of service size. Hatzel & Buehler successfully scheduled all required outages with minimal disruption to the facility, as they operate 24 hours, 7 days a week.
