Hatzel & Buehler served as the electrical contractor for the construction and fit-out of Cath Lab 3 at University of Maryland Medical Center South Campus. This highly complex healthcare project required the installation and coordination of numerous specialized medical equipment systems within a confined existing facility footprint. Significant challenges included limited workspace, extensive overhead utility congestion, and the precise integration of critical power, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage systems serving advanced catheterization equipment. Successful completion required close coordination with hospital staff, equipment vendors, and multiple trades to maintain schedule, ensure system reliability, and minimize disruption to ongoing hospital operations.
