Hatzel & Buehler recently completed the electrical work associated with the construction of a new 72,000 square foot addition to the existing AEGIS facility – Vice Admiral James H. Doyle Combat System Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, NJ for the Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC). A two-story building with a single story “Deck House” is connected to the existing building by an enclosed walkway. The new building contains combat system equipment spaces, offices, conference rooms and SCIF rooms.
We furnished & installed a new distribution service that included a 26KV outdoor switchgear enclosure and (4) 5KV substation line-ups. Standby emergency power was provided by way of a new 500KW diesel power generator and 100KW UPS. Due to the sensitivity of the facility, a complete electronic security system was furnished & installed. The control and integration of the lighting fixtures into the Building Management System was accomplished via a Watt Stopper low voltage integrator system. Our work also included lightning protection and fire alarm system.
