Hatzel & Buehler forms “Code of Excellence” partnership with IBEW

Hatzel & Buehler has proudly partnered with the IBEW LU351 to form a “Code of Excellence” partnership, on the Inspira Health project, in Mullica Hill, New Jersey. “The Code of Excellence is a program designed to bring about the best in our electricians and management, and demonstrate to our customers that IBEW members perform the highest quality and quantity of work, while utilizing their skills and abilities to the maximum.”

New Jersey Offices receives the Governor’s Citation of Merit Award

The State of New Jersey recognized the Hatzel & Buehler New Jersey Office, at the 90th Annual Governor’s Occupational Safety and Health Awards Dinner. The New Jersey Office received the “Governor’s Citation of Merit Award”, which recognized the branch for working 344,776 work-hours without lost time from a work-related injury or illness during the 2017 calendar year. Hatzel & Buehler’s New Jersey office is committed to continuing this same safe-work approach into the 2018 calendar year.

Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications had zero lost time injuries in 2017

With 1.6 million man hours worked in 2017, Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications proudly ended the year with zero lost time injuries.  Leveraging our multi-tiered safety team – functioning at the corporate, branch and field levels –  Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications’ TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate) continues to be significantly less than the Electrical Industry standard.

On Sunday, November 12th, employees and their families, from both Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications, participated in the Annual Lemon Run Philadelphia.  The Lemon Run raises funds and awareness for childhood cancer and is the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s largest special event with nearly 3,000 people attending.  In addition to employee participation, Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications actively participated in event fundraising.  The Foundation and its heroic efforts towards fighting childhood cancer are hugely important to our organization.

Employees from Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications generously donated funds to support the American Red Cross and their disaster relief efforts.  The companies matched all employee donations, with a 100% matched donation.

In 1996, the Knollwood Community Center (located in Claymont, Delaware) was established.  The Community Center provides after school care, a summer day camp, and adult and family activities. The Center’s food closet was established in September 2004 and has become an invaluable source of outreach to the Community.  Hatzel & Buehler and Bluestone Communications executed a food drive to support the Community Center’s Holiday needs.

NECA recognizes Hatzel & Buehler with 2016 Safety Awards

The Hatzel & Buehler New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia offices all received special recognition from NECA for their excellence in safety. Each office proudly received the “2016 Zero Injury” Award. The Hatzel & Buehler New Jersey and Michigan offices also received NECA’s 2016 “Safety Excellence” Award.

“NECA’s Safety Excellence and Zero Injury Awards program is an elite safety recognition program focused on recognizing thriving companies that excel in multiple areas of their safety and health programs. Awards are given to member companies that consistently have OSHA recordable injury and fatality rates at levels lower than the industry standard, and implement internal company safety practices above and beyond basic compliance. The Zero-Injury Award recognizes those member-companies that have worked a full calendar year without recordable incidents. Hatzel & Buehler works as part of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Research Campus expansion project

Bristol-Myers Squibb is adding 58,000 square feet of new addition / renovation area to its research campus in Pennington, NJ. The project will consist of new laboratories and office space.  Hatzel & Buehler’s scope of work includes providing an expanded electrical distribution system, site lighting, interior lighting, communications infrastructure, cable tray, fire alarm system, security system installation, gas monitoring / alarm system installation, grounding, and power distribution to offices, laboratories and HVAC equipment throughout the project scope area.

Hatzel & Buehler New Jersey awarded electrical expansion for Comcast

Comcast Cable Communications first opened its South Jersey call center at the Voorhees Technology Center in 2001 and has continued to grow ever since. This project, a 39,000 square foot expansion to their regional call center, will bring their occupancy to a total of 150,000 square feet in the building. The project consists of workstations, a network operations center, office spaces, conference rooms, training room and a lunch room.  Hatzel & Buehler’s Design / Build scope of work includes providing interior lighting, lighting controls, communications infrastructure, fire alarm system, demolition work, expansion of the electrical distribution system and power distribution to offices, workstations, and HVAC equipment throughout the expansion area.
