Delaware Office renovates 43,000 square feet of office space for Wells Fargo

Hatzel & Buehler’s Delaware office was recently awarded the renovation of three floors of office space, for Wells Fargo, in the high rise building (formerly known as the Rollins building) located in Wilmington, Delaware. The 43,000 square feet of office space included executive level administrative spaces, as well as conference room spaces. Hatzel & Buehler’s overall scope of work included the installation of new electrical power, lighting, dimming, security and fire alarm systems.

Hatzel & Buehler selected as the official electrical contractor for the United Nations

Servicing their 20-building campus in New York City, Hatzel & Buehler was recently awarded the official electrical contract for the United Nations. Hatzel & Buehler’s overall scope of work within that contract includes preventative maintenance on hundreds of pieces of distribution equipment and emergency transfer switches; 24-hour on-call electrical service; and project work ranging in scope from small MAC work to large scale construction.

Philadelphia Office awarded generator upgrade at Wells Fargo Plaza

Hatzel & Buehler was recently awarded the furnishing and installation of two 1500 KW generators, paralleling switchgear and a loadbank, within the Wells Fargo Plaza.  Work will be performed in a fully-operational building, so the Hatzel & Buehler electricians and project management team will work closely with our client and the other onsite trades to coordinate shut downs and tie-ins, as to not disrupt business.

NECA recognizes Hatzel & Buehler branch offices for their excellence in Safety

The Hatzel & Buehler New Jersey, West Virginia, Philadelphia and Delaware Offices proudly received NECA’s Zero-Injury Award, which recognized the individual offices for no recordable incidents, throughout the year.

The Hatzel & Buehler New Jersey and West Virginia Offices also received a Safety Excellence Award, which is part of NECA’s premier safety recognition program.

Marathon Petroleum Corporation recognizes Hatzel & Buehler as a “Top Performer”

The Marathon Petroleum Corporation recognized the Hatzel & Buehler Michigan Office as a “Top Performer” based on a comprehensive review of Contractor Scorecards and in-field performance on the Marathon Petroleum Corporation Transportation and Logistics projects, in 2014.

Hatzel & Buehler selected as the dedicated maintenance contractor for New York’s World Trade Center site

Supporting Cushman & Wakefield in their contract with the Port Authority New York New Jersey, Hatzel & Buehler oversees the operations and maintenance of the World Trade Center site-wide electrical distribution systems, including all common areas, the central utility plant, the emergency generation facility, the War Memorial Museum and the Transit Hub. In addition to their partnership with Cushman & Wakefield, Hatzel & Buehler provides direct tenant support for retail and offices spaces throughout the World Trade Center site. Hatzel & Buehler has played an active and ongoing role in the $250 million transformation of the World Financial Center to the newly established Brookfield Place New York. With a fully operational on-site office space and a dedicated team of Electricians and Project Management staff, Hatzel & Buehler services all of the high and low voltage needs of the owners and tenants throughout Brookfield Place New York. Hatzel & Buehler expands operations to include office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Celebrating 130 years in business, Hatzel & Buehler, Inc., a third generation, family owned business, sets the standard for excellence in electrical construction by leading the industry in safety initiatives, technological advances and well-established customer relationships. With nine operating branch offices throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Ohio, Michigan and West Virginia, Hatzel & Buehler recently expanded their reach to include a tenth office, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. New to the marketplace, Hatzel & Buehler acquired the assets of Franklin Electric – a third generation, family owned Electrical Contracting Company with over 100 years of well-established business throughout Pittsburgh. Hatzel & Buehler will retain Franklin Electric’s staff and have hired Pittsburgh native, James (Jim) Gloekler, to serve as Vice President, Branch Manager, overseeing the local Hatzel & Buehler operations. In 1992, Jim purchased Star Electric Company, becoming the third generation President and Owner of a business started by his grandfather, in 1914. Jim remained at Star Electric through 2013. Leveraging his 30 years of industry experience, Jim will establish the Hatzel & Buehler presence throughout Pittsburgh, while maintaining the customer focused approach, for which Hatzel & Buehler is known. Fred Sargent, another native Pittsburgher and successful member of the Electrical Contracting industry, has also joined the local Hatzel & Buehler team as a well-known industry consultant. Fred worked as a third-generation member of Sargent Electric Company, where he remained for 36 years, before he began his consulting business.

Up two spots from last year, ENR Magazine ranked Hatzel & Buehler 29th among the top Electrical Contractors in the country. Hatzel & Buehler was also ranked 74th among the top Specialty Contractors in the country.
