Hatzel & Buehler was recently awarded the electrical portion of the Infrastructure Upgrade project at Nemours / Alfred I. DuPont Hospital for Children. This multi-year project will be completed as an IPD (“Integrated Project Delivery”) project, with Hatzel & Buehler acting as one of the primary trade partners.
The project consists of a complete replacement of the existing electrical infrastructure with new normal and emergency electrical substations and associated distribution. Hatzel & Buehler will also provide the electrical and fire alarm services to new Air Handler Units throughout the facility that are being replaced as part of the Infrastructure Upgrade. In addition, Hatzel & Buehler is responsible for spearheading the 3D BIM coordination process with all trade partners. Work will be conducted in a fully-operational children’s hospital, requiring a high level of coordination to ensure there is no interruption to the hospital’s operations.
